I did it! Made it through the 7 day detox diet!

I did it!  I made it through the 7 day raw food detox....sort of :)

My total numbers for the 7 days ended up being......

Drum roll.......

Lost 9.991 pounds of fat and gained 1.785 pounds of muscle!

Not bad for 7 days if you ask me!

I'm taking a break today then tomorrow I'm back on a sorta raw food diet.  I'll do most everything but will add in hot water with lemon and hot soup.  And I will eat more raw vegs and fruit to keep my calorie count higher than last week.

Yesterday My daughter said that since at midnight it really was the next day would it be possible to have a crab night after midnight.  I thought about it a lot and the fact that I really didn't need to eat just before going to bed and the fact that I had been eating raw vegs all day and had only had 98 calories total at that point.

In the end crab night won.  We waited till after midnight so it was 'after' the last day of the diet.

i learned another great thing about the detox diet.  After having a bit of butter my nose started running and I started sneezing.  I knew it was an allergic reaction to the butter but I hadn't really put all the sneezing I had been having this winter to a food allergy.  I was thinking it was something in the house.  So dairy is going back on the can't have at all list for me for a while.  :)  I know I will feel tons better in the long run.  :)

The past several days I have had a hankering for a really good steak.  I have a lot of grass raised organic beef in my freezer that was actually raised by someone I know.  It's great meat, but I'm not a great beef cook.  Today hubby took the family to a great steak restaurant and I got my fill if juicy yummy correctly cooked steak.  We split one smore brownie between the 4 of us.  Hubby, daughter, son, and myself.
had a lot of fun even with my son being himself.  :)  There was a 2nd level at the steak house and every few bites my son wanted to go up and then back down the stairs.  (We were sitting right next to them)

I'm thinking, "The restaurant is almost empty being late lunch on a weekday, and the movement during the meal can't be bad for me."  So I would go up and then back down the stairs with him.  it keep him happy and I didn't feel like I had to rush to get my food down before he jumped out of his seat.  We would both have a few bits and then off to the stairs.
I do think my hubby was a bit embarrassed by it all but he was really surprised when i didn't order a ton of food for myself and then proceed to engulf it all.  It was funny when the brownie came out and he said, "Are you suppose to eat that?"  and my daughter said, "She can today, but she can't tomorrow." I said she was correct. He smiled and enjoyed his treat.  My daughter know I had already been planning one free day but then back to the nose to the wheel first thing in the morning.

Today has been another of the colder drizzle rainy types of days here so we didn't go walking around the block.   I'll have to check my step numbers after the little one gets to sleep so I can see how much walking I'll be doing in the hallway tonight.

Yesterday we were busy running our weekly errands but had to drive to most of the places so we were only getting in the extra steps from parking in the parking places as far from the doors as we could.  In the end I was around 200 steps short of getting in my 10,000.

I feel great today other than a running nose with sneezing.  my tummy is over full still from lunch but I'm a happy camper.  :)  I am ready to hit the diet grind again in the morning.

I will be adding in an extra 30 minute workout tonight before going to bed in hopes of helping all the meat I had today digest a bit better.

I'm hope everyone has had a GREAT day!
Keep loving your body and your body will love you back.

When we give our body the attention and good food it loves it will give us good health and lower doctor bills in return.  :)

  2. Thanks!!!! I'm happy :) I'll be doing it again 7 days at a time till I get my body fat to around 23%.
I'm thinking every other week I'll do it and have one totally day on each of my off weeks.

I"m kind of playing it by ear right now and trying to listen to my body to see what will be best for it.
