Doing better today :)

Feeling much better today after getting some much needed rest.  My son did wake up around 10 last night but went back to sleep by 1am.  Today he is rested and in a much better mood. :)

I'm pretty sure by tonight he will be back on his normal sleep time.

I didn't get in my biggest loser workout yesterday but the kids and I did spend 2.5 hours outside walking and playing which resulted my me getting my 10,000 steps. :)

I got in my biggest loser workout this morning.  I'm sooo glad I decreased the level to light.  I was able to make it through the whole workout without having to stop. :)  Sometimes our bodies just need a break.  It's OK to lower the level of your workouts and give your body a chance to heal.

This is my data from the past 7 days.  I didn't put the calorie intake because I haven't been logging the past several days. 
I have started logging my meals again today :)

I didn't score any vigorous activity during today's workout but that's ok.  I did sweat a LOT which means I'm getting rid of part of that 4 pounds of water I have gained since having to take some time off.

I really love having a scale that is able to tell me how much water, fat, and muscle I have.  Without it I know I would have been really bummed to see the numbers going up over the past week and half. 
I also love having a food scale when I'm logging food.  It makes it sooo easy to know just how much I'm actually eating.  The one I have will reset to 0 with the bowl or plate on it making it easy to put the dish on the scale set it to 0....add one food, get the weight, reset to 0, add next thing to plate, get weight, reset to 0...etc...

The body media sight will allow most foods to be entered in grams or ounces. I like setting it to grams since that the default on my scale.  I can do ounces or pounds but I would have to push a button....I just go the easy way and keep it grams.  :)

This week my goals are to log my food each day
get in a workout before noon 6 days. (would like it to be before breakfast but realistically that just doesn't always happen for me)
get in at least 3 brisk 30 walks
walk everyday
get my average vigorous activity up to at least 5 minutes per day (I'm gonna give myself a break and not go for the 15 minutes per day I had been trying for until I'm able to increase my workouts a bit)

  1. Your goals sound great and I totally agree about just aiming for the 5 minutes of vigorous for now, give your body a chance to finish healing! Plus in the big scheme of things as long as your burn is good enough to get a deficit you know you are rocking it :) I think that is my favorite part of the bodymedia fit...you get to look at the big picture. Just think, without it you might have though "man, I missed my workout yesterday, I messed up" but with it you realized you still totally kicked butt on steps!! I've found many days where I don't work out but my burn is bigger then on the days I did! It all adds up!

    Glad you guys are going to be getting some more sleep :) I can not believe how much that plays a role but with young kids in the house we don't always have control, just doing the best we can I guess! Keep on keeping on -you are totally rocking it!!

    P.S. Someday I want a scale with the body fat/ water -- it'd be fun to see. Right now I have a $10 scale so I don't even know if I've lost a 1/2 lb or so. I might start saving some $ to invest in one :)
