Best Smoothie yet!

Today I waited to get hungry....and waited...and waited....

got a ton of stuff done in the yard and house ...but still not hungry

At around 4 pm I had a chance to get in my biggest loser workout and just as I was about to get started my tummy said....grumble grumble. I didn't really feel hungery or starved but my tummy was talking to me. 

Since both kids were busy and I had a chance to get in my workout alone I decided to wait till after working out to eat.   I drank a ton of water during my great workout and was actually hungery by the time I was finished.

I made today's breakfast smoothie

Today's yummy smoothie:
3 medium ripe peaches or nectarines ( I used 4 plums since my hubby had picked out plums when I sent him for nectarines)
2 large bananas
8 leaves of dark green kale (it said to remove the stems but I like the stems so I left them on...just chopped em a bit before putting them in the blender)

this is all the recipe calls for ....then blend everything together

I had a bell pepper than needed to be used today so I added it to the smoothie ( I did leave in the seeds because they actually pack a LOT of flavor)
The kids had just made fresh mango ice cream and there was 1/4 of the mango left so I tossed it in also... I didn't want it to go bad.

I blended it all together and boy is it yummy!

All together it came to 409 calories and made 3 full 16 oz cups.
I've finished about half of it and am sipping on it as I am blogging. 


 With all the raw dark green kale it has to be loaded with iron and many other good things for our bodies!

If my daughter hadn't seen the kale go in she might have liked it but when she tasted it she said it was eating a banana with a gross aftertaste of kale.

My son (after yesterday 'dirty' smoothie) was not willing to try it.  He did finally agree to smell it and said it really smelled good but he really didn't want to have to actually taste it.

I'm feeling great and by mid day the only thing that hurt was my wrist...but that's not the diet's fault...that's from me forgetting I had on wrist wights before falling asleep.

My head feels clearer than in a very long time.  I will try and get more and better sleep tonight as I know it really will make this 7 days even better.
