Today is day 6 just one more day :)
I'm doing good today.
Feeling a bit tired but over all I am feeling much better than I did 7 days ago.
I made up my own smoothie recipe today
3 kiwi
2 large red tomatoes
1/2 pint yellow cherry tomatoes
2 stalks celery
1 mango
1 cup water
blended everything together
it made about 6 cups
I ate about half of it
There was a bit to much tomato. I think it would have been better with a bit less tomato. I do think it will make a good base for fruit smoothies so I froze the leftovers in ice trays. I can put a few cube in with fruit to add a few extra vitamins.
Today I chopped and froze a ton of the vegetables I bought for my diet so they wouldn't spoil. It's great having fresh frozen vegs in the freezer as it makes it really easy to whip up a stir-fry or soup. A lot of my prep time is in the cutting.
It's cold and wet outside as it keeps wanting to rain but it's just misty. We went ahead and took a walk. It wasn't as long as sometimes but we still added some extra steps.
Currently I have to take 2000 more steps today to meet my daily goal of 10,000 steps.
I still need to get in my workout but am planning on doing it as soon as David goes down for the night.
My face looks better than it has in a while. The lump under my are that I was worrying about is getting better just like the doc said it should :)
I am sleeping much better, and overall am feeling great. I haven't had to take my allergy meds all week and this is big time flower blooming spring time in Texas. That's a major bonus to me. I don't like taking any pills unless I just can't get out of taking them.
I think the 7 days has been worth it and am very glad I gave myself the challange. :)
I'm so proud of my friend Brenda! She has been dealing with type 2 diabetes for a while. She has been working really hard at eating better and getting moving. After her most recent blood work her doctor was very happy to inform her that she no longer has diabetes! Hip-Hip-Hooray for Brenda!!!!!!
Good for you, Brenda!! That takes strength!!
ReplyDeleteSometimes, when we sleep more than we need, we feel bummed-out most of the day, and you did sleep instead of work-out. Of course, I admit, I would have done the same--you know me and cold.
Great on the allergy meds!! That is good news indeed!!
even with the extra sleep I still only ended up with a total of 7 hours 57 minutes. Not too much I don't think :) But the cold wet day will sure have an effect and make me more bummed than normal.
ReplyDeletewalking helped and hot soup helped even more. :)
