What a crazy week

Hello everyone

I feel like I'm having computer withdraws :)
I'm going to try and get some fit tips up today.  I miss getting them posted.

My wrist is getting a bit better each day.  it still hurts a lot but not all the time there are many moments that I don't feel any pain in my arm...then I move my hand in a way that reminds me with a sharp pain that it's not all better just yet..  I am keeping the ice on it still and i keep reminding myself that it took almost two weeks of it getting a bit worse each day before i started icing it so I'm thinking it will most likely take about as long for it to get all better at the rate of improvement I am having each day.  As long as I wake up each morning and it's a bit better than the morning before I know I'm still on the right track.

The kids and I are getting over the flu bug that passed through the house this week.  I feel like I spent most of the last 4 or 5 days sleeping.  Even when i was awake and getting things done around the house that needed to be done I was in a daze from the fever just doing the motions of what had to be done.

My daughter has been a great help this week.  I don't know how I would have made it through without her help.  Thanks Katherine!!!! Love you!!!

My son and I are pretty much over the flu bug and have not had any fever in the last 24 hours.  I'm still weak from being sick but stronger than yesterday. :) My daughter is still in bed sleeping and will most likely be there most of the day.  Her fever should break today as she's been running about 1 day behind David and myself.

I got on the scale today and weigh over 200 again :(  but with not being able to work out and then getting sick I did expect it to be up a bit.  I'm at 205 today but according the the scale and my notes the last time I was at 205 was march 19 and I have less fat and more muscle now than I did then.  So even though my weight is up it's not as bad as it could be :)
This week I have had a lot of canned soup.  I have a ton of frozen homemade soup in the freezer but wasn't feeling well enough to actually heat it up.  Hubby picked up a lot of canned soup from the store on Monday or Tuesday and we have been eating it all week.  Lots and lots of salt in the canned soups but they are very easy to just open and heat.  Yesterday I was able to heat up some of the frozen soup :)  The first part of the week it was just to heavy to try and lift. hubby will heat up a can of soup but will not touch anything in the freezer (other than ice cream)

Brenda keep up the good work.  Slow but steady will always win the race.  This weekend will be over before you know it :)

Mom, thanks for keeping close tabs this week.  The kids and I miss you and are looking forward to when you will be here again.

Katherine, thank you bunches for helping out this week!  I love you!  Feel better soon!

I've got to be running.  My ice pack is getting warm and my arm doesn't like me typing.  I'll type again as soon as I can.  :)

  1. Oh my goodness between your wrist and the flu AND your kiddos having the flu? OH MY GOSH what a week you must have had?! I am so glad your daughter was helpful, we are both so blessed with our daughters, they seem similar that they are helpful and mature and great big sisters. You will get back into the swing of things but in the meantime you know I will say it: just keep resting - your body, your wrist and at this point your mind probably needs some rest too! Take care hon!

  2. & p.s.... the night is half way through and I'm making it, I'm making it! The kiddos called at 9 to say goodnight and they both sounded so happy I guess that just made me feel better. I was really expecting a call from my little guy to come get him, but I think we are in the clear. I am glad that they have a grandma around who can do these things with them but wowsers - it's H-A-R-D having them away from me! I'm such a helicopter mom (hovering) lol. thanks!
